Happy Birthday to me!!!
Well I’ve become pretty disinterested in my birthday, when I was young I desperately wanted to have a grand celebration but never got around to getting one. Reasons were mostly my parents not being able to match my extravagant demands or Moharram! As I grew older and did get a chance to celebrate, the whole affair seemed devoid of that charm. In fact most of my adult birthdays have been jinxed with me getting in trouble with my Dad and he getting annoyed with me for some big inexcusable screw up that I successfully avoided all year but seem constrained to commit on my birthday!!!
Now I prefer to hide myself somewhere where I can avoid much human interaction on the day of my birthday. Last year it was in an airplane coming back from Toronto and this year it is in Abbottabad where I know it would be just me and the family.
But this year onwards I’ve decided that I am going to give myself a present every birthday. The present however can’t be material. It would be a resolve or some sort of a new addition to my life (as minor as it may be).
So on my 31st birthday, I present myself with my very own blog!!!
WELCOME TO MY BLOG……
Well this short entry is all about me telling you what is going to be in my blog. As most of the people who are reading this know me as a musician in the band noori and probably have come here from our website, I want to make it clear that this is a place away from the stardom, social propriety and keeping appearances. This is just plain simple Me….and hence the name “This is ali noor”
Here I want to communicate about anything and everything, whatever I feel…I don’t intend to offend anyone but in case I do then please forgive me and don’t come here anymore cuz’ this is what I am…and I don’t give a damn!!!
So let’s begin this journey…………………..

I know i’m late by whole one day but i thought there would be nothing of such sort on the noori website as it was in the proccess of…say….rehabilitation!
Well thats a great idea to present your ownself! same is the case has been with me when i was a kid.. About celeberation….I always wanted to have it BIGG! Ended up compromising with “not to wish for it anymore” by the way i’m a libra too (and i’ll be having mine next month on the 7th)
But then i realised that one should atleast be happy (and be one’s ownself) on one’s Birthday and to me thats the biggest celeberation. i think thats the best way of celeberating it than expecting too much out of it.
I hope you will be interactive and communicative Ali noor…!

and congratz on ur blog, its really fun that now we could interact with u and know u not just as a musician but also as a person (which i believe is most important)
Any way, i just want to say ur my favourite paki band, i love ur music especially ur lyrics, ur music has so much depth which is missing in our mainstream music.
so thanks for making such cool music and representing our country in the world, u rock!, really!!
just one more thing, please please tell me when ur new album is coming, and why ur official site has no videos or music which it use to have.
hopefully i will be visiting ur blog quite often from december onwards, cauz right now im preparing for my exams (there is so much pressure!!)
